Clothilde Kaukaras Obituary

Clothilde "Clo" Kaukaras, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 71. Born on December 11, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, Clo lived a full and spirited life characterized by her boundless energy and love for those around her.

Clo earned her Bachelor's Degree from St. John's University in New York, which set the stage for a successful and varied career. She began her professional journey as an executive secretary with the New York Stock Exchange, where she honed her skills and developed a keen sense for business and people. Her aptitude for connecting with others naturally led her to become a recruiter for many esteemed banking institutions. Even after retirement, her vivacious personality found a home as a hostess at Farmhouse Kitchen, where her charm left a lasting impression on all who met her.

Outside of her work, Clo was a lover of life and adventure. She delighted in snow skiing and being outdoors, never missing an opportunity to explore the world through travel. Her adventures were often accompanied by stories of her cherished cats, Guinness and Gaelin, who held a special place in her heart.

Clo was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Celeste Bivetto, her brother, Anthony T. Bivetto, and her long time partner, Joseph Tito. She is survived by her devoted twin sister, Celeste Mandel, her sister-in-law, Annie Bivetto and her dear nieces and nephew: Christine Manna (Vincent), Celeste Bivetto, Trisha Mandel, Alyssa Bianco, Lauren Simone (Gregg), and Anthony T. Bivetto II . Clo's legacy also lives on through her great-nieces and nephews: Ashton, Olivia, James, and Charlie.

Clo was a vibrant presence, always on the go, and relished being surrounded by people. Her infectious energy and the joy she brought into every room will be deeply missed.

Her family has entrusted Clo's care to Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.

To honor Clo's memory, her family will hold a private gathering in New York, where they will celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her warmth and vivacity.
