Gerard John Wills Obituary

Gerard John Wills, born January 12, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away November 12, 2025 in Ocean View, NJ. Gerry was the second of five sons to Charles J. and Mary G. (McLaughlin) Wills. He attended Seven Dolors Catholic School, LaSalle College High School, LaSalle University (BSBA) and Drexel University (MBA). Gerry also served in the Army as 1st Lieutenant Quartermaster Corporal, where he received the Army Commendation Medal.


He was married 57 years to his wonderful and loving wife Peggy Anne (Dirvin) Wills, loving father of five children: one daughter and four sons, twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.


Gerry resided in Furth, Germany, Glenside, PA, Ambler, PA, Sea Isle City, NJ and Ocean View, NJ.


Gerry worked as an Assistant Director, INA (Philadelphia), Assistant Vice President, First Pennsylvania Bank (Philadelphia), Manager of Eastern Operations, Sallie Mae (Georgetown DC), Director of Operations Curtis Circulation Company (Philadelphia), Vice President, PSFS (Philadelphia), Assistant Director, State of Delaware, Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations for Fairfield Group.


Gerry was an avid golfer and was a superfan of all Philadelphia Sports: Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. Gerry is survived by his loving wife Peggy Anne, brother Frank Wills, daughter Megan Early, son Steven Wills, son Michael Wills, and son Sean Wills.

Gerry will be joined in heaven with late son Gerry T., and brothers Charlie, Jim and Michael.


Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 2316 Fairhill Ave., Glenside, PA 19038 where relatives and friends are invited to greet the family beginning at 10:00 AM.  His interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
