Aleta A. Wilcox, 76, of Medford, town of Goodrich, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 while under the care of Aspirus Hospice.

She was born May 28, 1949 in Medford to Charles and Effie (St. Claire) Rinehart.  She graduated from Medford High School in 1967.

On May 17, 1969, Aleta married Orlo Wilcox at the Athens Assembly of God Church.  They resided in Medford where Aleta worked for Klinner Insurance.  Once she and Orlo started having children, Aleta stayed home with them.  The family moved to Goodrich in 1998 and named the property “The Rusty Rose Ranch.”  It was here Aleta raised her beloved Red Roan Clydesdale horses. When the children were grown, she went back to work at Phillips Plastics, retiring as their purchasing agent in 2008. 

She enjoyed crocheting, hand and machine embroidering, vegetable gardening and canning, and taking care of her horses and chickens.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Orlo of Medford; three children, Kayda (Phil) Fechhelm of Stetsonville, Nicole (Curt Frahm) Wilcox of Goodrich, Virgil (Coreen) Wilcox of DeForest; siblings, Dennis (Donna) Rinehart, Mark (Candy) Rinehart, Reggie Rinehart, Whitney (Aurora) Rinehart, Clinton Rinehart; grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Fechhelm, Brittney (Jake) Pieper, Brandon (Allie) Fechhelm, Derick (Alex) Rausch, Chelsea Rausch, Samantha (Carl) Manske, Jessica (Dom) Petznick; 13 great-grandchildren and four more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rita Reichert; and a great-grandson, Spencer Blu Rausch.

A Celebration of Aleta’s life will be held on Sunday, November 30 in the banquet hall at B&S Bar & Catering, W4782 State Hwy 64, Medford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m., with a service at 12:30 p.m. led by Pastor George Myers.  A meal will be served following the service, all at the hall.
