ALBANY - Rosemary McGowan, 88, of Albany, NY, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Francis X. McGowan Sr.

She is survived by her seven devoted children: Francis X. McGowan Jr. (Carol), Brian A. McGowan (Janet), Eileen M. Satterlee (Bryan), Kevin P. McGowan (Amy), Patricia A. Farrell (Tim), Sean T. McGowan (Stephanie), and Meghan R. Hassel (George). She was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A woman of deep faith, Rosemary lived her life as a witness to the Lord’s love and grace. Her unwavering devotion and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends, and her warmth and kindness were a source of comfort and inspiration to many.

Rosemary spent her final months at Teresian House in Albany, where she received exceptional care. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their compassion, kindness, and dedication.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, November 21st from 4pm – 7pm at Bowen & Parker Brothers Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY, 12110.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held Saturday November 22nd, 10:30am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110, with a burial service directly following at Fairview Cemetery, 6400 Hawes Rd, Altamont, NY 12009
