Joseph Lee Shaffer Obituary

Joseph Lee Shaffer, 33, passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2025.


Joe was born on August 4, 1992 in Sharon, CT to his parents Raymond Shaffer and Kathleen Evans of Oak Hill, NY.


He graduated from Germantown Central School. He worked incredibly hard throughout his life, he enjoyed his job as a carpenter at Hudson Valley Precision Contracting in Germantown. He took his craft and working on outside projects including his own home.


Always known for being adventurous, he enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, taking care of his reptiles, going to the gym, listening to music, and most importantly he loved entertaining others and ensuring everyone knew he was present.


His children were his world & he would have moved heaven and earth for them.


In addition to his parents, Raymond and Kathleen, Joe is survived by his longtime partner, Alyssa Cole; his children, Dominic, Sophia, Aryah and Emelia; his siblings, Chris, Crystal, Will, Raymond Jr., Kassie and Rachael; his honorary brother, DeShan; his many nieces and nephews and countless friends.


Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 5 to 7PM at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook.
