Corporal Blake Reynolds Obituary

Corporal Blake Reynolds

Badge #631

July 20, 1994 - November 12, 2025

Blake Adair Reynolds, 31, of Muncie, Indiana, finished his earthly watch and entered his heavenly home on November 12, 2025, after giving his life in the line of duty while serving the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

Born July 20, 1994, in Muncie, Blake lived his life rooted in faith, family, and service. Blake graduated from Delta High School in 2013. He attended Ball State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, working with a law firm, the Youth Opportunity Center, and the Delaware County Probation Department during that time.

He served proudly with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department for three years, most recently as a Corporal. From his first day on the job, Blake knew law enforcement wasn’t just his profession — it was his calling. He was hardwired to protect and serve, and he did so with courage, compassion, and a heart for people. He loved the night shift, the brotherhood of his team, and every opportunity to make a difference in the community he called home.

Blake’s faith in Jesus Christ shaped everything about him. He walked closely with the Lord through Scripture and through the people who surrounded him. He wasn’t a religious man; he was a faithful one. He loved deeply, gave freely, and lived with quiet conviction. To those who knew him best, Blake was loyal, ornery, goofy, and steady — the kind of person who could make you laugh when you needed it most and stand firm when life felt heavy.

Outside of work, Blake found joy in the simple things: snuggling with his sidekick kitten Nightwing, listening to his favorite head-banging music, watching scary movies, diving into history books, quoting Star Wars, and cheering for Batman as if it were real life. He loved spending time with friends and family, usually with a grin that gave away he was up to something.

Blake is survived by his wife, Allison (Eddleman) Reynolds; his parents, Bruce and Melissa (Adair) Reynolds; his brother, Dustin Reynolds; his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Sandra Adair; his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Linda Reynolds, and Cora and Barry Bryans; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is also lovingly remembered by his in-laws, Dr. David and Jackie (Day) Eddleman; his sister- and brother-in-law, Jean-Pierre and Lyndsey (Eddleman) Leroy; and his niece, Nazára, who adored her Tío Blake and brought him endless joy.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church in Muncie from 2:00 pm-7:00 pm. A public service honoring Blake’s life and sacrifice will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Delta High School Gymnasium. He will be laid to rest at Jones Cemetery that afternoon.

Flowers and donations may be directed to The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel in Muncie, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office (3100 S. Tillotson Ave., Suite 150, Muncie, IN 47302), the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police or First Choice for Women.

Though Blake’s earthly watch has ended, his eternal one has just begun.
