🕊️ Elizabeth Sapao French, 1942–2025
Elizabeth Sapao French, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died at her residence in Fairfield, California on November 12, 2025, due to heart failure.
Born on June 16, 1942, in Porac Pampanga, Philippines, Elizabeth brought her vibrant spirit to the United States. She dedicated her professional life to public service, working as an accountant for the State of California. A devout Catholic, her faith was a cornerstone of her life.
Elizabeth’s greatest love was her family, and she cherished her 63-year marriage to her husband, James French. She was the loving mother of five children: Jacque (Amalia) French, Christopher (Tina) French, Jacqueline (Demosthenis) Saris, Daisey (Kevin) Allen, and Teddi (Stuart) Shull. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Sapao, and her brother, Generoso Sapao. Her surviving siblings are Susita (Walter) Nomura, Edilberto Sapao, Aura (Casey) Dizon, Mercedez Sapao, Eloisa (Glenn) Orfitelli, Leonila (Orville) Richard, and Raymond (Marlene) Sapao.
She will be remembered for her passion for cooking, creating beautiful arts and crafts, gardening, and collecting antiques.
Services:
Visitation: Monday, December 8th, 4:30 PM, at Bryan Braker Funeral Home.
Catholic Mass: Tuesday, December 9th, 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
Interment: Tuesday, December 9th, 1:15 PM, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
