Joshua Drae Strozier “Bubba”, age 26, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Florence, AL. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Holt High School Gymnasium. Burial will be in Little Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Clay Mosley will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the gymnasium on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Hogue and Lalona Gail Cook and Godfrey and Arlene Sally Strozier.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Ronnie L. Strozier and Donna L. Strozier; sister, Tonya Cooks (Doug) Angela Strozier and Andrea Strozier; brother, Ronny Strozier (Carley); nephews, Scout Strozier, Miles Strozier, and Braylin Pierce (Savannah), nieces, Kaitlyn Strozier, Brandi Pierce (Austin), Hannah Blackwell (Chris), and a host of great nieces and nephews .

Joshua Drae Strozier was born August 31, 1999, and was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He walked this life as a protector, peacemaker, and his smile lit every room he entered. If you knew him, he touched everyone’s life that crossed his path. He was the most generous, caring, loving, selfless person. To have known him, was to know what love truly was. Joshua was the person you would always want by your side, because in a world full of darkness his light outshined it all. 26 years just wasn’t long enough. He will be missed by all, more than any words could express.

Pallbearers will be Christian Brown, Peyton Brown, Tyshon Hall, Rod Robinson, Jay Sterling, and Xavier Jones “Scoop”.

Honorary pallbearers will be Holt High School, Coach Beard, Coach Abercombie, Coach Watkins, Coach Sherfield, and all the teammates, coaches, trainers, and staff of all the many sports he was a part of.
