Robert “Trey” Seeley, 53, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Madison, Trey was the beloved son of Mary Seeley and Lyman Adams, and the late Bobby Seeley.

Trey’s life reflected both courage and kindness. He was a proud fan of the San Francisco 49ers, collecting memorabilia and sharing his love of California. He enjoyed working out, shopping at outlet stores, watching movies and HBO series, and dancing around the house in his sock feet. He had a wide-ranging collection of skulls and angels, the latter symbolizing his deep connection to family and faith.

Known for his humor, resilience, and Southern gentlemanly manners, Trey never lost his instinct to say “yes ma’am” or “bless you,” even while living in California. He cared deeply for others, especially the homeless, the sick, and those facing hardship, often forming personal bonds that left lasting impressions. His compassion was recognized by many, including the nurses and doctors who cared for him in recent years.

Trey is survived by his mother, Mary Seeley, and father, Lyman Adams; uncles Richard Easterling (Lisa), Robert Easterling (Arlene), and Michael Easterling (Toni); and cousins Traci Hernandez (Ed), Ashley Martin (Brent), Rachel Easterling, Becca Akers (Charlie), Brittany Davis, and Dwayne Easterling (Rachel). Extended family Laura Beth and Gavin Guynes, and their daughters, Audrey and Claire. He was cherished by his family and friends who will remember his courage, humor, and generosity of spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father Bobby Seeley; his brother Eric Seeley; his uncle Les Easterling; and his grandparents Bonnie and Alfred Williams, and Letson and Margaret Easterling.

A funeral service will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Saturday November 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Trey’s compassion for the less fortunate.
