David Allen Stanley Obituary

David Allen Stanley passed away Wednesday November 12, 2025. He was born on November 14, 1955 in Ft. Monroe VA.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law Malia and Scott Dieckhoff, and a much loved granddaughter Karsyn Dieckhoff of Gloucester VA. Two sisters/brother in laws; Julie and David Wittenberg of Trinity NC and Susan and Don Vaudreuil of Greensboro NC along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Although distance prevented him from spending time with his granddaughter Karsyn, he expressed his love for her through cards and gifts. David cherished pictures from Karsyn and spoke of her proudly.

David was known for his love of the ocean, surfing and classic rock music. His favorite band was the Eagles. He had a love for animals especially his pets; Ziggy, Samson and Purdy.

He was the son of the late William George Stanley and Dolores Arlene Stanley. A beloved brother Larry Scott Stanley also preceded him in death.

Although he did not want to leave us, he was ready to spend eternity with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

The immediate family will have a private gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
