Surrounded by the love of her family, Catherine “Cathy” Lynda Amy Parsons of Cornwall passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Garden Home, at the age of 79 years.

Born on February 10, 1946, to the late Thomas Ethelbert and Elizabeth Edna (née Steen) Parsons. Cathy is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Jim, and will be deeply missed by her children, Steven (Amanda) Longmoore and Douglas (Tammy) Longmoore, as well as her adored grandchildren, Alexandria and Michael. She also leaves behind her sister, Ruth (Bill) Cruden and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was predeceased by her sister Barbara and brother-in-law, Edward Butler.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Belvedere Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.

After the service, all are welcome to join the family for a time of food and fellowship in the Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada (Atlantic Branch) or the Alzheimer’s Society.
