Robert Wayne Tiberend, 89, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at home. He was born on September 9, 1936, to Theodore and Beulah (Doty) Tiberend.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Benton, IL, having moved to O’Fallon, IL with his beloved wife, Juanita, in 2021 to be closer to their two daughters and grandchildren. Robert was a proud farmer for over 42 years, a devoted father to two amazing daughters, a man who loved traveling, trying new restaurants, and enjoying every moment life had to offer. If you knew him, you knew his presence filled every room. He was the life of the party, the storyteller, the one who made everyone feel welcome. Robert had a way of making ordinary moments feel special and turning strangers into friends.

Robert served in the National Guard of Illinois. He also served as a director on the Southeastern Illinois Electric Cooperative and the Southern Illinois Power Plant. He was a lifelong member of the Illinois Farm Bureau, and the Illinois Soybean Association.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Beulah (Doty) Tiberend; and brother, William Tiberend

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Juanita (Hefner) Tiberend of O’Fallon, IL; two daughters, Pamela (William) Jones of Rochester, IL, Melissa (Miles Meador) Tiberend of O’Fallon, IL; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones, Audrey Meador, and William (Lindsey) Meador.

It was Robert’s wish to be cremated. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in O’Fallon, IL.
