MOCKSVILLE – Mrs. Vivian Marion Cook, 80, of Angell Road, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.

She was an extraordinary woman whose life was defined by dedication, compassion, and love. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing and spent 25 years caring for patients at Davie County Hospital and 20 years at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Cook; her brother, Dan Marion; and her parents Bill and Ruby Marion.

She was a loving mother to her two sons, Brian of North Carolina and Craig of Nebraska; proud grandmother to Allison, Michael (Liz), and Derek.

She is also survived by her siblings, John (Patti) Marion, Kathy (Dean) Hedrick, and Renee (Rodney) Leonard. She treasured her sister-in-law, Gigi Marion, and was truly grateful for her love and support over the years.

Vivian will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the way she made everyone feel cared for. Her legacy lives on in her family and all those blessed to have known her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
