Peggy Louise (Melton) Mitchell Obituary
Peggy M. Mitchell, 71, passed away Wednesday, November 12th at Wesley Long Hospital In Greensboro.
A life long resident of Greensboro, Peggy graduated from Grimsley High School in 1972 before going on to work at Bellsouth and later Aetna Insurance. Peggy was an accomplished seamstress and quilter and was a member of the NC Quilters Guild for many years. In her later years she adopted multiple rescue Dachshunds.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Gether (Bill) and Ruby Melton of Greensboro. She is survived by her brother, Randall Melton (Gigi) of Greensboro, sister Carolyn Self (Danny) of Oak Ridge, as well as niece Melanie (Kenny), nephew Matthew, and numerous cousins and friends whom she loved.
The family plans to hold a private service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter or any reputable pet rescue organization.
