CARRIGAN, Catherine M. (Phalen), 63, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2025.
Catherine was born in Somerville and raised in Winchester. Catherine attended Winchester High School where she was a member of the cheerleading team and graduated in 1980. Catherine later received a degree in Psychology from Northeastern University and worked as an Ophthalmic Technician for many years before retiring. She married her beloved husband, David, in 1988 and together raised two children, David and Kendall. Catherine always placed the needs of her family and friends over her own. Catherine enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with her family and pets. Catherine will be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laugh and immense love for her family. She will be greatly missed.
Catherine was the beloved wife of David Carrigan. Loving mother of David and his wife Shelby Carrigan, and Kendall Carrigan. Adored Grandmother of Claire and Dean Carrigan. Sister of Nancy Phalen-Hood and her husband Christopher Hood. Cherished Aunt of Carly, Logan and Emma Hood and Ryan, Morgan, Sammie, Christopher and Michael Carrigan and Camryn Phillips. Daughter of the late Esther (Brennan) and Thomas Phalen.
Visiting hours will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St., WINCHESTER, on Tuesday, November 18th from 4 -7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester on Wednesday, November 19th at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery Winchester. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America at https://engage.mymsaa.org.
