Betty Jean Miller, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born on April 30, 1938, in Hazard, Kentucky, to the late Cal Oaks and Hazel Brewer. She later married the love of her life, Donald Miller, with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Betty’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and her faith. She is survived by her children, Rodney Goodman (Anita), Jamie Miller, Sr. (Sandy), and Timmy Miller, Sr. (Heather); her beloved grandchildren, Chris Goodman (Heather), Cody Goodman, Derrik Goodman, Timothy Miller, Jr. (Ciara), Candace Miller (Monk), Kara Miller, Jamie Miller, Jr. (Maranda), and Michael White (Dakota); 27 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She had great love for her nephew, Calvin Wayne Oaks III.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her granddaughter, Stephanie Goodman; and a great-granddaughter, Journey Carol Goodman.
Betty loved country music, her cat Smokey, going to church, cooking for her family, and shopping for little treasures that brought her joy. Her kind heart, warm smile, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Center - Schoppenhorst Chapel at 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40203 and on Monday, November 17 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM with a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
