Charles Ross Cassell Obituary

CHARLES ROSS CASSELL, age 85, of Washington CH, entered his eternal home in Heaven on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

He was born on October 11, 1940 in Fayette County to the late Joseph Thomas Cassell and Maxine (Coffee) Cassell Everhart. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he had worked as an aircraft mechanic; he served in Germany for three years. He retired from the Delco Moraine GM Plant where he had worked for most of his adult life. Charles loved showing off his muscle cars and trucks at different car shows. He was a member of the Dragin’ Angels Car Club. His other hobbies included spending time with his family and friends, watching football, and car races. Charles and Connie loved spending every winter at their second home in sunny Florida. He was also an active member of a men’s club in Florida.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Constance (Cassell) Pollard, step-granddaughter, Kehte Little, and step-grandson, Alexander Crawford.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Connie Joan (Williams) Cassell, whom he married on June 15, 1994; son, Todd Cassell; step-children, Dawn Crawford (Dan Nestick), Rich Little (Sonya), and April Hines (Blanton Brown); step-grandchildren, Cameron (Charlotte) Hines, Caleb Hines (Katelyn Dillow), Kassidy (Seth) McDonald, Courtney (Phil) Metais, and Sierra Crawford (Eric Tomlinson); great-grandchildren, Olivia and Quinn Metais, Aliyah Paul, and Barrett Hines; and brother-in-law, Paul Pollard. Also surviving are his special car club friends and his "breakfast club" at Ranchers Roast Beef.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.summersfuneralhome.com
