Lisa Debra Stewart Higgins, age 64 of Orlando, Ky. departed this life on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY, a daughter of the late Luther and Loretta Mason Stewart.  On March 20th, 1976, Debbie married Kenneth Higgins Jr. and from that union came three children: Melinda, Adam and James.

She was born on April 23, 1961, in Berea, Ky, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Loretta Mason Stewart. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Flat Rock Baptist Church.  Debbie’s favorite past time was fussing with Kenneth, she also enjoyed sewing for family, collecting bears, and of course spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends and nephews.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband; Kenneth Higgins Jr., her children; Melinda Gates(Joseph), Adam Higgins, James Higgins(Crystal), all of Orlando, her grandchildren;  Aaron Brown(Cheyenne), Austin Brown(Hannah Ferguson), Autumn Higgins Johnson, Lloyd Higgins(Chesley Barnett), Dorothy Higgins, Dakota Higgins, and LilyAnn Higgins and Harper Leary ;  eight great grandchildren; two brothers; Darrell Stewart (Liz), Tim Stewart (Kathy), sister in law: Tina Higgins Horne. Niece: Jamie Grubb; nephew, Gary “Higg” Higgins.  Special cousin Diane Bond.

Besides her parents, Lloyd and Loretta Mason Stewart, she was preceded in death by one brother: Dennis Stewart, one sister: Patricia Stewart, one grandchild: Landon Higgins; niece: Brandy Carrier. Brother-in-law: Gary Higgins.

Visitation for Debbie will be Monday, November 17th, 2025, at Flat Rock Baptist Church from 1-2pm. Funeral service will begin at 2pm with Bro. Jason Medley officiating. Burial will follow at Briarfield Cemetery.
