Antony Cherian Obituary

In Loving Memory of Mr. Antony Cherian

Mr. Antony Cherian, born in 1959 to P. M. Cherian and Mary Cherian in Thrissur, Kerala, lived a life shaped by love, faith, humility, and quiet strength. His childhood in Kerala was filled with simplicity, strong family bonds, and the values that guided him throughout his life.

After completing his studies, Antony moved to Mumbai to begin his professional journey. The years he spent there laid the foundation for the dedicated and hardworking life he went on to build. He later returned to Kerala, where he started his own automobile business. His commitment and sincerity eventually led him into roles with Cadbury India and Yardley India, where he became admired for his integrity, kindness, and steady character.

In 1986, Antony married Sheela, the love of his life and his greatest blessing. Together they built a home filled with warmth, joy, and unwavering commitment. Their family grew with the blessing of two children, Marina and Freddy. As their children began new chapters in their lives, John and Shalu entered the family and were embraced by Antony with the same affection and respect he gave his own children.

Antony found his greatest joy in being Appachi to his grandchildren, Juvanna and Jude, whose laughter always brought a special light to his heart. Every moment with them was precious to him.

In 2016, Antony and Sheela moved to the United States, where he continued to work with the same dedication and humility that defined him, most recently with Brink's Bankers.

Antony will always be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man whose quiet faith guided every step he took. He lived simply but loved deeply, always putting others first. His compassion, strength, and kindness will continue to live in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Antony is survived by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and siblings (Mathews, Kurian, Itty, Kunjumol, Joel, and Smitha). His legacy continues through them, in the values he instilled and the love he shared so generously.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the light he carried remains. His life stands as a lasting reminder of humility, perseverance, and unconditional love, and his memory will last forever in our hearts.

Antony's wake will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ 07930. A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am followed by a funeral service at 10:00am on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will take place following the service at 11:30am at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
