David D. Plasman, 77, of Speers, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at home with his family by his side. Born in Pittsburgh on March 18th, 1948, David was the son of the late Albert and Janice (Nickeson) Plasman.

A graduate of Monongahela High School class of 1966, David continued his education at Duquesne University until his enlistment in the United States Army where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

David worked for Mon-Valley Hospital as the Director of Human Resources for many years until his retirement and was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Charleroi. An avid reader, David enjoyed working in the yard and working at his home wood shop creating numerous household items and furniture. He was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports, cheering on the Steelers, Penguins and the Pirates.

David's true enjoyment was spending time with his family and traveling with his wife Carol to their vacation home in St. John, USVI.

Surviving to cherish David’s memory; his wife of 42 years Carol Ann (Kovalak) Plasman, daughter Kellie Plasman and his daughter Megan Plasman. His sister-in-law Mary Lou (John) Bagay, his niece Lisa (Jim) Howrot, his great-niece Samantha Howrot and of course his “pup” Rocky.

Mr. Plasman is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Janice.

Per David’s wishes a private service will be held at the convenience of the immediate family.
