Billy Chandler Brown, 92, of Rougemont, died Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Orange County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Robert Lester and Annie Cole Brown. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ernest Brown, Griffin Brown, Kathleen Brown Daniels, Kennette Brown, Loren Brown, Mabelene Brown Ray, Mozelle Brown Cagle, Erskine Brown, and Gaddis Brown. Mr. Brown was the owner of Brown's Farm Service and a veteran of the US Army. He previously served on the board of directors at Community One Bank in Hillsborough. Mr. Brown was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he previously served as deacon.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Patricia Moore Brown; two children, David Keith Brown (Lori Bateman) and Jill Brown Stephens; five grandchildren, Leah Stephens Briggs (Aaron), Chandler Stephens (Emily Hernandez), Dalton Brown, Kale Stephens and Colby Brown; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Briggs, Levi Briggs, Kayla Grace Briggs, and Lily Rose Briggs; his granddog and "Best Buddy", Mookie Brown; nephew, Earl Lester Brown (Lynn Breeze); two nieces, Patricia Brown Lloyd (Gary) and Pam Brown Stone (Tony); three grandnieces, Stephanie Brown Morgan (Chad), Brittany Brown Lingner (Joshua), and Micah Mae Lingner; one grandnephew, Brennan Thomas Lingner.

Memorial services will be held 3PM Saturday at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Pastor Mark Francis. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3PM Saturday prior to the services and at other times at the home.
