CAROL JANE FOLKERTH Obituary

Carol Jane Folkerth, 70, of Tipp City, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County. She was born September 21, 1955 in Stambaugh, Michigan, to the late Norbert Joseph and Margaret Geraldine (McDonnell) Wagner. She married Jaime Folkerth on January 18, 1975 at St. Mary Catholic Church and he survives.

Carol is also survived by her two sons, Eric (Stephanie) Folkerth of Columbus, and David (Susie) Folkerth of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Genevieve and Bjorn Folkerth; eleven siblings, John Wagner of Piqua, Norbert (Margaret) Wagner of Reynoldsburg, Virginia Shiroda of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Alice Lindstrom of Scottsdale, Arizona, Raymond (Teresa) Wagner of Ashburn, Viriginia, Leonard (Roseann) Wagner of Ashland, her twin, Catherine (Ken) Hardesty of West Chester, Peter (Karen) Wagner of San Jacinto, California, Joseph (Janice) Wagner of Troy, Mary (George) Coker of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and James (Patty) Wagner of Richmond Hill, Georgia; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Frank Wagner; two sisters in law, Lois and Karen Wagner; and two brothers in law, David Shiroda and Eldon Lindstrom.

Carol was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, Class of 1974. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Carol worked various part time and full time jobs throughout adulthood, but her favorite and most important role was being a mother and homemaker. She was always busy in the house working on something, whether it was changing the decor, taking a wall down to open a room up, or decorating for the holidays. Carol enjoyed collecting dolls and sewing, and enjoyed traveling with the family to some of their favorite places around the country, namely Myrtle Beach, the Smoky Mountains, Florida, Arizona, and Las Vegas to name a few. Family was incredibly important to Carol, and she was always close with her brothers and sisters, but had a special bond with her twin, Catherine and all the girls in their big family. Carol was strong in her faith and was a prayer warrior for others. She will surely be missed by all who loved her.

A service to honor Carol's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will take place privately at Forest Hill Cemetery.
