Glen Earl Mashburn Obituary

Glen Earl Mashburn, age 80, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was a member of Pond Hill Baptist Church for 49 years. Of his many years at Pond Hill, he served as deacon for 45 years, and the majority of the 49 years, he served as Cemetery Committee Chairman. Glen was retired as shop foreman for EDS after many years of service.


He is preceded in death by his parents: Enoch Abraham and Anna Elizabeth Hicks Mashburn, a son: Glen Everett Mashburn, sister: Mary Frances Bredwell, an infant sister: Louise Mashburn and his brothers: Bill, Charlie, Louie, Hurdest and Kenneth Mashburn.


Glen is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Annette McKee Mashburn, daughters: Michelle (Matt) Ricker, Sarah Mashburn, grandchildren: Lacy (Billy) Sliger, Kristan (Chris) Umphrey, Phillip (Lauren) Shelton, Paul Ricker, Cady Fewell, and Faith Vann, great-grandchildren: Kolh Mashburn, Klay Mashburn, Beau Sliger, Kirt Sliger, Cooper Shelton, Roczen Umphrey, and Lettie Umphrey, a sister: Phyllis Moore, along with several nieces and nephews.  


A visitation will be held at Pond Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 PM.
