It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sara Anne Cymbalisty on November 12th, 2025. Beloved wife of Taras; mother of Felicity Rathbone (Shawn), Natasha Blair (Fraser), and James Rathbone (Elizabeth); stepmother to Matthew and Vanessa; grannie to Ben, Jamie, and Dashiell; Baba to Penelope, Parker, and Paisley; sister to Andrew; sister in law to Lasha and preceded in death by Oksana; dear cousin to Lizzi and David.

Sara was born March 6th, 1953 in Liverpool, United Kingdom to Edmund and Betty Lloyd. She then emigrated to Canada in 1982. A talented actress, she was a fixture of the Hamilton and Dundas community theatre scenes from the 1980s through the 2000s. She then transitioned into the medical field, working with the standardized patient programs at McMaster, and administering medical and professional licensing exams. She also started her own business, helping foreign-trained doctors to integrate into the Canadian system. She instinctively built community everywhere she went, easily forming deep connections and friendships. She’ll be missed for her sense of humour, empathy, and loving spirit, by the many lives she touched. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 9:30 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Avenue West, Hamilton. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.  For those unable to join in person, a livestream will be available on the Church's youtube channel
