Brian Wiens, beloved husband of Glenda Ann Wiens (née Keller), of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 73 years.

Brian was born in McCreary, MB, on April 22, 1952, and moved with his family to Calgary, AB, in 1957. Graduating from James Fowler High School in 1970, he then began his career as a baggage handler with Air Canada.

In 1984, Brian married the love of his life, Glenda. Together they shared more than four decades of adventures—travelling through Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and embracing all the joys of being snowbirds in Arizona. Some of their greatest memories were made while building their home on the acreage—planning, planting, and tackling the never-ending list of chores that come with four acres of land.

Brian was a simple, low-maintenance man who found joy in the things that mattered most: camping under the stars, golfing with friends, and relaxing with a cold Black Ice or Pilsner. His quick wit, dry humour, and easygoing nature made him the kind of person everyone loved to be around. He didn’t need much—just good company, a warm fire, and a nightcap at the end of the night.

Brian will be remembered most for his humour, his quiet strength, and his deep love for his family.

Besides his loving wife Glenda, Brian is survived by his sons, Brad (Cynthia), Brendon (Liz), and Mike (Cheryl); and his grandchildren, Austin and Cassie. He is also survived by his brothers, Don and Ken; his sisters, Heather and Judy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Pearl Wiens (née Smith); and his brother, Terry Wiens.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, AB) on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at the City of Airdrie Cemetery (33 Big Hill Way SE, Airdrie, AB).
