VEON had an extraordinary gift for nurturing deep, lasting relationship with those around her.
Her home was always open, serving as a gathering place for family and friends.
She was employed at Howard Johnson Restaurant, Newport News, Virginia for many years. She later worked for Hampton City Schools as a cook, where she retired. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Stephens Baptist Church, in Warrenton, North Carolina.
VEON was born September 17, 1927, in Warrenton, North Carolina, to Bennie and Augusta Williams, who preceded her in death. Other precious family members deceased, her husband Hebert James Sr, her sons, John Henry Williams, Bennie Lewis Williams, Herbert James Jr, her four sisters Betty, Endie, Sannia and Lucy, her brother David Williams. A granddaughter Miranda Lawerence, a grandson Dominique James.
It is the desire of the James/Lawrence families that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
