WAPPINGERS FALLS - Maureen F. Guglielmo, 77, a resident of Wappingers Falls and previously of Hopewell Junction for over 40 years, died on November 12, 2025 at MidHudson Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born on December 24, 1947 in the Bronx, Maureen was the daughter of the late Francis and Kathleen (Faughnan) Natt. On October 19, 1968 at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers, she married the love of her life and highschool sweetheart, Michael Guglielmo who predeceased her in 2021 after 53 years of marriage.
Maureen retired as a manager from IBM, where she worked at both the Somers and East Fishkill locations. She loved to travel, especially to the beach and cherished spending time with her many friends, some of whom she had known since childhood. Warm, social, and full of life, Maureen brought joy and laughter wherever she went.
Above all, she deeply loved her family and took immense pride in her grandchildren. She was a devoted supporter at all of their sporting events-her famous cheer, "woohoo" could be heard from the lacrosse field to the volleyball court, and most of all at the baseball field.
A lifelong lover of sports, Maureen not only cheered from the sidelines but also coached her own children's soccer and baseball teams and served as a dedicated team mom for many others. Her enthusiasm, encouragement, and kindness touched everyone around her.
Maureen is survived by her children, Laura Santiago and her husband Ray of Pleasant Valley, Kara Romano and her husband Alex of Lagrangeville, Jon Guglielmo and his wife Jessica of Calabash, NC; her grandchildren, Raymond and Katherine, Michael and Kate Lynn, Ava, Christopher, Madison, and Jon Jr.; her brother Robert Natt and his partner Susan; her sisters-in-law, Joanne Natt and Lynda DiPressi; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Maureen was also predeceased by her brother, Arthur Natt.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 16th from 2 - 6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 17th at 11:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, to support families who lack the resources or network to care for their loved ones during the final stages of life. Maureen was blessed with a devoted circle of family and friends who lovingly supported her when she needed it most, and she would want others to have that same care and compassion.
