Karen "Kay" Stamey Bustle Obituary

Karen "Kay" Stamey Bustle, 73, of Claremont, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House.


She was born on April 21, 1952 in Catawba County to the late Norman Stamey and Geraldine Sweezy. Kay was a member of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden and retired from the furniture industry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat, and celebrating her grandchildren's accomplishments and milestones.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Bustle; son, Jason Bustle; brother, Tim Wilson; and sister, Sharon Perdue.


Those left to cherish her memory are;


Son: Jeremy Bustle and wife Gena of Claremont


Daughter: Kerri Lee of Maiden


Grandchildren: Jacob Lee, Gentry Bustle, and Gemma Bustle


A service to celebrate Kay's life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton, NC 28658. Rev. Daniel McGee will officiate. A private burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
