Larry Junior Barnhart, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle.

Born in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Jessie (Eckel) Barnhart. Larry was the husband of the late Elaine (Zinn) Barnhart, who passed away in 2009.

Larry attended Cumberland Valley High School before being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in 1968.

After his service, Larry enjoyed the simple joys of life—traveling in his RV, visiting fairs and festivals, and spending quiet days watching TV and listening to music on the radio. He was a man who appreciated both adventure and comfort, and he shared many of his happiest moments with family and friends.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his easygoing spirit, and his devotion to those he loved.

Larry leaves behind his son, Larry Lee Barnhart and his wife Ida; his daughter, Annette Marie Wargo; his 3 grandchildren, McKayla, Kiley, and Macy; and his 1 brother, Jim Barnhart.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
