Cathy Teresa Monday - age 68, of Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away in her home on November 12, 2025.

Cathy spent the majority of her life driving for Knoxville Area Transit and local school bus routes in East Knox County. She was also an animal advocate and worked tirelessly to spay/neuter feral cat colonies.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Scott” Monday; parents, Clifford and Pauline Dunn; sister, Mary Dunn; and brothers, Danny, Earl and Bucky Dunn.

Cathy is survived by her only daughter, Shasta McGill, and son-in-law, 99 McGill; husband, David Johnson; sister, Judy (Dunn) Dyer; brothers, Mike and Larry Dunn; and a group of girlfriends that she loved spending time with.
