Willie Edward Walton 72 of Jena, Louisiana, was received into Heaven on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

He was one of seven children born to the union of Edward Hiram Walton and Glady Marie Smith Walton. He was born Friday, May 15, 1953, in Monroe, Louisiana.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, a son DeVon Walton, three sisters Joyce Laffoon, Betty White, Shirley Pardue and his two brothers Johnny Walton and Emanuel “Buster” Walton.

Those left to love and miss him are his wife Gertie Toups Walton, daughter Corretta Walton (Steven) of Monroe, La., a son Johnathan Walton (Melissa) of Prairieville, La., a sister Katherene “Kathy” Walton of Jena, La., his grandchildren Matthew, Taylor, Noah, Ezekiel and one on the way, and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at 11:00AM on Monday, November 17, 2025, with Rev. Kevin Greene and Rev. Ronald House officiating.

Private burial at a later date.
