Anthony J. White, son of the late Julia Mullen White and Desmond Henry
White, was called to the Lord on November 12, 2025. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY and was
the youngest of four children. He was 76.
He attended Sleepy Hollow HS and State University Farmingdale. He received his bachelor's
degree in Recreation and Parks Administration from Murray State University. He grew up in Sleepy
Hollow and eventually moved to Virginia to pursue his passion for Civil War history. He became
very knowledgeable in the field and was a collector of artifacts of the era.
For the past four years Anthony resided in Somers, NY. He was pre-deceased by a brother,
Desmond, Jr. He is survived by his loving sister, Veronica Scappaticci and brother-in-law Albert,
and a brother John (Carolyn). He also leaves four nephews, one niece, seven grandnieces, and
two grandnephews.
He will be buried in a family plot in Hudson, NY and funeral arrangements will be private. A
memorial Mass will be held at a future date.
