Stephen P. Kyle, 73, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2025.
Stephen was born on December 30, 1951, a son of the late Dale E. and Edna Baughman Kyle. He was also pre-deceased by his stepmother, Beatrice Kyle, and his beloved Newfoundland, Bubba.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 1969. After high school, he went to earn his Nursing Degree at Clarion University in Oil City, graduating in June of 1979.
During his career, he was employed at Warren State Hospital for a few years then transferred to Polk State Facility, for 40 years before his retirement in January of 2011.
Stephen enjoyed playing baseball and softball in youth, golfing with his friends and being out on his boat on Tionesta Lake. He was an avid Pittsburgh fan, cheering on the Steelers and Pirates.
Stephen is survived by his daughters, Jaime Latronica and husband James of Zelienople, PA, and Kristen Kyle of Pittsburgh; his grandson, James Latronica of Zelienople; his beloved life mate, Suzanne Chytil and her children, Suzanne LaTulippe, Thor Chytil, and Stephen Chytil, and their spouses and children; his wonderful sister, Sherry Shaffer and husband John of Titusville; his nephew Mark Shaffer and wife Nina of Titusville; his niece, Valerie Otto and husband Mike of Titusville and their families; and many close friends he had the privilege to make over the years.
A memorial service will be held at Hydetown Cornerstone Church, 12749 Main Street, Hydetown, PA 16328, on November 22nd, beginning at noon, a funeral service will take place at 1 PM, with Pastor Jeff Sterling officiating.
