We extend our condolences to the family of John Allison Lenehan, who passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 78.
John was born in Woodstock on January 3, 1947, to the late Wilfred and Eugenie (Allison) Lenehan.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine (Bustard) Lenehan, son Tim Lenehan, stepdaughter Karen Cole and stepson Hilary (Kelly) Dickinson, Ten Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, nephews Bryan and Kevin Chaisson.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth and Theresa, grandson Nick and granddaughter Marissa.
John was well known in Woodstock, where he lived his entire life as a business owner. John had a taxi company for over 40 years in Woodstock, he operated the Red & White Canteen, He also operated John’s Courier Service and a lawn maintenance company.
John was a member of the Woodstock Knights of Columbus for many years and attended St. Gertrude's Catholic Church.
Keeping with John’s wishes, there will not be a public visitation.
A celebration of the Christian Mass will be held on Friday November 21, 2025, at 11:00AM at St John the Baptist Church in Woodstock.
Interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
If so desired, donations in John’s memory can be made to the Debec Animal Shelter.
