Maxmillian “Jerry” Watt, 80, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Loretto, son of the late Walter and Cecilia (Smith) Watt. He married Donna M. Luther in 1972, who preceded him in death in 2010 after sharing 37 years of marriage.

Surviving are his son, David; a sister, Mary Buzzella and husband, Bob; two brothers: Duane and Pat and wife, Ginger.  

He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Joseph in 1996 and a sister-in-law, Judith A. Watt.

Jerry was a member of the US Army and US Army Reserves and retired from the railroad.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.      

Friends will be received from noon to 2pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Patrick Church, Newry, where a funeral Mass will immediately follow at 2pm with Father Allen P. Zeth, Celebrant.

Private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
