Harvey Clyde Coxey Jr., 103, of Mercer passed away on November 11, 2025 on Veteran’s Day, as a WWII US Navy veteran service 1943 to 1946.

Harvey was born the son of Harvey Sr. and Vera (Schwartz) Coxey on July 8, 1922 in Hurley, Wisconsin. He attended Carey elementary school and graduated from L.L. Wright High School in Ironwood. On December 2, 1967 Harvey was united in marriage with Rose Pirlot in Waukegan, Illinois. Harvey loved watching the Brewers and Packers and had a green thumb.

He is survived by his close friends, Judy LaRock, Gordy Kohegyi and family, along with other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rose in 1997.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. the Mercer Cemetery on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with military honors conducted by the Mercer American Legion Post #424 and the Mercer V.F.W. Post #9536.
