Mrs. Delores Mae Mellott, 82, of Maugansville, MD passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Born November 21,1942 in Waynesboro, PA. She was the daughter of the late Daniel & Ethel (Creager) Barkdoll.

She and her husband, the late Dale E. Mellott, were married in April 1967. They lived in Clear Spring the majority of their time together until Mr. Mellott died in 2019.

Mrs. Mellott worked at Clear Spring Hardware Store, A.C.&T. Co., Inc., and Amber Dental. Mrs. Mellott is a member of the First Church of God in Hagerstown. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. Her main joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five children: one son, Daniel Mellott Sr. (Helen); and four daughters, Deena Holmes (Anthony), Darla Houck (Bill), Cindy Kelley (Wayne), and Cathy Keplinger; as well as eleven grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Brandi, Craig Jr., Cade, Jonathan, Andrew Jr., Austin, Adam, Ashley, Michael, and Timothy; four great-grandchildren, Theo, Reese, Cooper, and Ember; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, JoAnn Barnes, and one brother, Edwin Barkdoll.

The funeral will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor David Sword will be officiating.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (1:30pm).

Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
