Roberto (Bobby) Flores Jr., 61, of Naperville, Illinois, was called to heaven on October 10, 2025.
Bobby was born on March 14, 1964, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to Roberto Sr. and Emilia Flores. He grew up in West Chicago and Aurora before building a career and life in Naperville, Illinois.
Throughout his life, Bobby was known for his big heart and generosity-always offering encouragement and support to lift up those around him. He loved to laugh almost as much as he enjoyed bringing laughter and joy to others with his playful and sometimes silly personality.
A man of many hats, Bobby worked for years in the restaurant business before he switched gears and built a business of his own as a real estate appraiser. In the last 10 years he dedicated his career to the roofing industry, working alongside his son Robert III, his family, and many close friends.
Outside of work, Bobby found joy in spending time with his sweetheart, Lily, and his family. He especially cherished every moment with his granddaughters, Olivia and Viola. Whenever he was with them, Grandpa mode was activated and only had one mode- PLAY! From rolling around on the floor with them as infants to playing at the park or hosting movie nights with all their favorite snacks, his only purpose in their presence was to make them smile and feel loved. He found great joy in cooking and feeding his family and friends and made sure that everyone knew that his “secret ingredient” for every meal was LOVE. Music was in his blood. Whether he was enjoying a concert, singing, dancing or playing the drums on the dashboard- these were the moments when you knew he felt the most alive. He was a lifelong Cubs fan and passed along this love to his children, enjoying many special memories together at Wrigley Field. You can’t forget his love for the Dallas Cowboys which he shared with his father. We can imagine them in Heaven cheering together again- “Attaboy Cowboys!”.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Emilia Flores; his daughter, Adriana Flores Muñoz (Ruben); his son, Robert Flores III (Holly), his granddaughters Olivia and Viola; and his siblings, Alejandro, Imelda, Rogelio, and Jose. He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Flores Sr.; siblings, Marina and Roel Flores; his best friend, Viola Flores; and his mother-in-law, Ramona Lopez.
Bobby will be remembered for his laughter, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone who was blessed to know him.
