Jim Caldwell, Sr., 90, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at his residence.

Jim was born on November 20, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He had resided in Joplin since 1963 moving from Oklahoma.

He was a Pharmaceutical Representative for Lederle Laboratories for 32 years before retiring in 1994.

He was a long-time member of Christ’s Community Church in Joplin, Missouri.

He belonged to Ozark Trails Studebaker Club, he loved “tinkering” with cars, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, where he would hunt deer in Missouri, Wyoming and Colorado.

He married Doris Jean McArthur on July 31, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on January 29, 2015. He later married Connie Elbert on June 18, 2016, and she preceded him in death on September 23, 2022.

Survivors include one son; Jim (Audra) Caldwell, Jr. of Joplin, Missouri and one daughter; Julie Andrews of Joplin, Missouri, five grandchildren; Jessica Andrews, Catherine (Andrew) Lewis, Austin Andrews, Dylan Caldwell, and Jonah Caldwell, four great-grandchildren; Vivienne Lewis, Christian Lewis, Howeah Caldwell, and Isaac Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry A. and Lenora LaFon Caldwell, one daughter, Pamela J Pogson, and three brothers.

Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Christ’s Community Church, 2700 E. 44th Street, Joplin, Missouri 64804, where Pastors Chris Sloan and Bob Dart will officiate.

There will be a visitation beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Christ’s Community Church.

Interment will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Christ’s Community Discovery School in c/o of the mortuary.
