Betty Joan Grace Vanaman, 92, of Elm Grove, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Continuous Care Center at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 17, 1932, in Williamson, WV, daughter of the late William E. Grace and Nell Thompson Grace Harper.
She was a retired Bookkeeper for 23 years from the Ben Franklin Stores, a Baptist by faith, a good cook, great mother, and she loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert George Vanaman in 2007; daughter, Deborah Nell; sister, Karren Katz Gothe; and brother, Billy E. Grace.
She is survived by her son, Robert Michael "Mike" (Vicki) Vanaman of Wheeling, WV; daughter, Sharon B. (Steve) Ryan of Hebron, OH; two sisters, Peggie Pauley, and Marcia Brunty; five grandchildren, Mika (Jeremy) Gump, Marci (Max) Smith, Robbie Vanaman, Bobette (Dennis) Yocum, and Carl (Danielle) Ryan; six great-grandchildren, Timmy, Shadrach, Shane (Kayleigh), Grace (Sean), Caleb and Eli.
At Betty’s request there will be no services. Arrangements made by Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311).
