LAGRANGEVILLE - Barbara Jane Banker, 81, died peacefully on October 6, 2025. She previously lived in Cold Spring for 45 years.
Born on October 20, 1943 in Manhattan, Barbara was the daughter of the late Nick and Anna (Lund) Paglia. Barbara was a graduate of Mahopac High School. She owned and operated Westbrook Deli in Mohegan Lake for over 15 years, and then worked at Home Depot for 15 years until her retirement.
Barbara liked to travel, especially going on camping trips. She enjoyed a variety of activities like Bingo, gambling, scratch off tickets and yard work.
On June 11, 1966 at Tompkins Corners Methodist Church in Putnam Valley, Barbara married Clarence W. Banker, Jr. who predeceased her in 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Volpe and her husband Ralph. She has asked God to watch over her granddaughters who she affectionally called "My Girls", Paige and Madison Volpe. Other survivors include her sister, Betty Burchetta, her brother, William Paglia and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Saturday, October 11th from 9 -11 am with a service at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
