David Arnold Munsey born on October 9,1935 in Sophia, West Virginia, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 2, 2025, 3 days prior to his 90th birthday.
David was married for 37 years to his beloved wife, Jennie Marie Campbell who predeceased him 25 years ago in 2000. Together they raised a large loving family of six children, Sandra Moore (Kevin), David Jr., Linda Presutti, Debra Love (John), Carolyn Lunsford and Michael Harris (deceased 2003).
David and Jennie were married in Washington D.C. in 1963 and have made their home in Margate, Florida for many years. Family was their shared passion as they were blessed with 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
David was the son of Arnold and Lakie (Kennedy) Munsey of Narris, Virginia and is survived by his brother, Fred Munsey (Gladys) of Roanoke, VA and his sister Marilyn Wheeler (Donnie) of Chesapeake, VA.
David joined the United State Army in 1958 at the age of 23. Following his discharge, he took a job as a store manager for the A&P Grocery chain in Maryland, where he met and married Jennie. Following his retirement to Florida in 1991 he worked part-time for Publix until well into his 80’s. As a boy, he developed a love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and pool player. At Narris’s High School he was a star athlete lettering in basketball and baseball.
His quiet strength, kindness and generous spirit will be forever missed. Arrangements for a private family service has been entrusted to Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida.
