Maureen Vreeland

April 10, 1950 – September 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Maureen Vreeland on September 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Predeceased by her parents, Les and Ellen, George and Molly, and her brother David.

A lifelong resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Maureen was deeply loved by her husband Barry and cherished by her sons Jason (Amanda) and Wes (Kristy). She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Jade, Amber, Josh, Karley, Lainey, and Hallie—her greatest joys, for whom she would have moved the earth.

Maureen was the glue that held everything together. Always ready to lend a hand, she could often be found driving friends and family to appointments or simply being there when someone needed her most. She spoke her mind with honesty, loved fiercely, and gave selflessly of her time. Her absence leaves a large void in the lives of those who loved her.

She also had a love for travel, especially to one of her favourite places, Paradise Village in Mexico. She shared this special place with her family, creating cherished memories together.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at The Venue, Cambridge Hotel & Conference Centre (700 Hespeler Road, Cambridge). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in her memory.

She will be missed beyond measure.
