It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley A. Lemke, who passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.

Shirley was born on December 30, 1946, and spent her life creating a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. She married the love of her life, John P. Lemke, on June 26, 1965, and together they shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. John preceded her in death in March of 2016 after an extended illness. Their love was a shining example of devotion, and they will forever be united in spirit.

Shirley was the proud mother of three children, Charity (Phil) Ruhnke, John (Marci) Lemke, and Tim (Galina) Lemke, grandmother to Aaron (Jenn) Amberson, Kaitlyn (Conner) Chess, and Matthew (Courtney) Ruhnke and great grandmother to 3 littles who loved her deeply. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and her family meant everything to her. She was known for her warm heart, boundless generosity, and unwavering support of her loved ones.

Shirley’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. She had an infectious laugh, a compassionate soul, and always made others feel seen and heard. Whether she was hosting family gatherings, shopping on her favorite QVC channel, or offering advice, Shirley’s presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

To celebrate her life a private family graveside service will be held at her final resting place beside her beloved husband at the GAR Cemetery in Snohomish, WA.
