Nancy Urban Obituary Nancy Jean Urban, age 69, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2025. Nancy was a resident of Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Cranford, NJ when she passed, and previously, at the V.O.A. Theodora House in Fanwood, NJ. Born on October 9, 1955, in Elizabeth, Nancy attended Elizabeth public schools and graduated from Battin High School in 1973 focusing on secretarial skills and being an administrative assistant. She worked at Wilson and Jones in Elizabeth and then at Kean College in Union in the Adult Education Department. Nancy was a communicant of St. Hedwig R.C. Church in Elizabeth and loved playing the piano, and on occasion would play the organ at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Nancy also loved making ceramincs and decorating the house for Christmas and the holidays. She especially enjoyed making lamb figurines out of butter for Easter, which became her specialty. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Theodore P. Urban, Sr. and Eugenia A. Urban and her nephew Theodore P. Urban, III. She is survived by her two brothers, Theodore P. Urban, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Oak Ridge; Thomas and his wife Rita, and her niece Lauren Anne of Elizabeth. Nancy with her kind and gentle heart was loved and will be missed. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday May 1, 2025, from 9-10:30 am, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, 11 am, St. Agnes R.C. Church, Clark. Interment, Mount Calvary Cemetery, Linden.
