Gerard Martowlis Obituary Gerard Martowlis, age 71, passed away on Monday August 18, 2025 at the Atria Assisted Living Facility, Cranford. Born in Bayonne, to Stanley, Sr. and Cecilia Martowlis, he was a longtime resident of Rahway. Mr. Martowlis worked as an environmental processing technician for Exxon, as well as several other companies over his career, including Infinium, and the Joint Meeting of Union and Essex Counties. Gerard was a baseball player and lover of the sport, a Bricklin owner and enthusiast, and builder of a Bell Laboratory Rocket Belt. Known to those who love him as a man who could build or fix anything, he was a gifted carpenter, mechanic, and artist, and he was always generous with his time and his talents. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Diana Kolibas (Patrick) and Stefanie Martowlis (Jerry Scaturro); three cherished grandchildren, Santino, Olivia and Evan; adoring longtime fianc Serafina Giordano. He is predeceased by his sister, Cecilia Teran; brother Stanley Martowlis, Jr., and nephew Chris Martowlis. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday August 21, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Avenue Clark, NJ 07066. A Funeral Ceremony will begin on Friday August 22, 2025, at 8:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 am, at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden.
