On Friday, September 19, 2025, Nancy Lou Chandler passed peacefully at the Prince Edward Home when she gave up her battle with COPD. She was in her 67th year.

She was predeceased by her partner Kevin Blacquiere, parents Hayden and Thelma, brother Jimmie, sisters Hazel Reid, Carol Miller, brother-in-law Robert Miller, nephew Andy Gallant and niece Jamie-Lynn Chandler.

She is survived by her siblings Bill (Ruth), Debbie Brown, Thelma DeGreer (Gerhard), Hayden (Marilyn), Ernie, half sister Thelma Chevarie (Joe), half brother Pat Stanley, stepdaughter Kathy Blacquiere, step grandchildren Nathan and Brandon Axworthy, sisters-in-law Gail (Jimmie) and Cheryl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friend Erica MacDonald.

Before COPD took over her life, Nancy loved to go fishing, enjoyed many days scouring the beach collecting sea glass and loved a good game of cards with her sisters and nieces. She will be sadly missed by all her family.

Our sincere and heartfelt thanks go out to the caring and compassionate staff in Lupin Valley household at the PE Home for the wonderful care Nancy received there.

There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal request. If so desired, donations to the PEI Lung Association or PEI Humane Society would be appreciated.
