Martin E. Halverson “Butch” of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 10, 2025. He was 86 years old. Born June 9, 1939 in Salem, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna Mae (nee Tully) and the beloved husband of Sandra (nee Puzas) Halverson with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

Butch was a US Army veteran and a long-time US Postal worker. Butch was also an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles.

In addition to his wife Sandra, Butch is survived by his two children; Monica Fazio (Nicholas) and Ken Rutter, Jr. (Ilene) seven grandchildren; Carissa, Hannah, Rebekah, Sarina, Brynna, Delaney, and Nate, as well as his two brothers; Robert Halverson (Helen) and James Fletcher (Anne) and his sister; Mary Ann Minauro.
