Francis J. Schmidt, Jr., age 67 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Manhattan, NY, August 24, 1943, son of the late Francis J. and Mary Ann Stanczyk Schmidt, he had lived in Raritan Township for the past twenty-five years, having formerly resided in East Brunswick, NJ for over twenty years. A retired self-employed accountant, Mr. Schmidt graduated from the LaSalle Academy and Monmouth University. He was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity; the Knights of Columbus, Whitehouse Council #6930;an active participant in the Interfaith Hospitality Netowrk; and a Communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station, NJ. Surviving are his longtime, loving partner, Marjorie Williams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Route 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is invited to meet directly at the Church on Saturday morning. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
