Rosemary McLeod was born in La Mesa, California on October 9, 1951. She was the second child born to John and Azalea Gorby. Dorothy was the first child.
After graduating from high school, she was accepted to the World Campus Afloat and traveled around the world while attending college on the ship.
Rosemary moved to Grass Valley, California in 1975. She went to work for the Grass Valley Group: A state of the art solid state electronics firm. There she became the manager of the publication department overseeing the owner’s manuals on the use of all manufactured equipment.
On July 19, 1976 after a thirteen-day courtship, she married the love of her life Steve McLeod.
Rosemary could make anything requested out of fabric, yarn or any other material a person could use. She was gifted seamstress.
In the fall of 1991 they moved to Winchester, Idaho. In Winchester she joined the city council.
She learned to be an EMT and served as an Advanced EMT for 26 Years. She also taught advanced EMT classes to many students.
Rosemary and Steve purchased property In Dixie, Idaho in 1997 and built a full scribe log cabin. They spent much time there in the winter and summer months enjoying the great outdoors.
In the fall of 2019, they sold their cabin in Dixie and their house in Winchester and moved to Grangeville, Idaho to retire. And retire they did!
Rosemary had a stroke on April 9, 2025, and succumbed to the stroke on Sept 12, 2025. She will be missed forever by her husband Steve of almost 50 years. Rest in peace my Dear Dear Wife. I will love you forever, Steve.
